Default Window Misc Hardware

Hey thanks guys for the kind words. Like many with the car disease i stand back and sometimes wonder if my stuff is good enough.

This type of work shown here doesnt get shown often. This is teidious detail work no one sees. All the windows were stripped of there small trinket hardware. 69s have alot of pieces to them. Most of the pieces were phospated, but that just isnt very corrosion resistant. I plated everything and for the phosphate parts apply black chromate which gives a black rainbow effect. I go really dark almost wiping out the rainbow effect.

I also had to fix one of the tall stand rollers for the front window. IN the mill i drilled and taped the tapperd shaft and jb welded in a grade 8 threaded rod. Cant even tell after its plated.(last 2 pictures)

Default Switches, Horn Relay and Voltage Regulator

The smaller pieces are mini restorations. Just an example of pulling apart, cleaning and replating pieces of the light switch. I need to get a new repro knob as the original cannot be saved.

If Dave and Dan Schutzbank ever come past this post, the last few pictures are for them. Ive been selling dated voltage regulators for a long time and always told them i could not do do factory plating. I finally have the means to do it and the results are pretty solid. I run the regulator on a old school regulator testor. Always good to readjust once its in the car. Even the horn relay cover is near chrome finish quality with zinc plating.
