Very excited to see everyone and enjoy all the amazing cars and people. We all know there is no musclecar show in the world like it. Each year it is a historical event! Thanks to all participating and spectating!

One cautionary note though: I got carbon monoxide poisoning one year when I stayed inside in the loading area for 5 hours enthralled by watching all the cars come in. I finally noticed what was happening and stumbled over to the hotel, got into my room and just sat in the shower dizzy with a pounding migraine and barfing my guts out for the next four hours til my normal O2 levels came back.

The next morning I went over to one of the building managers and asked him whether there were carbon monoxide detectors in the building and what they were reading the day before. He laughed and said they had to unplug them because they were going off nonstop from the beginning of the day.

For some reason he couldn't understand my bewildered look at his response.

I wonder if they disconnect the fire and smoke alarms as well during the show?

Anyway, be safe and enjoy the show. And if you start noticing a headache during move-in day, get outside and get some fresh air ASAP!
Where could the carbon monoxide be coming from

The crazy thing about CO poisoning is that it leaves you with an ever decreasing tolerance to it. The next exposure takes less CO to hurt you. If I recall correctly, that was what led Richard Petty to retire from racing. His doctors basically told him that his next race would be his last whether he quit or died while driving. He wisely chose to step away.

I'll stop with the Debbie Downer comments now. LOL. Enjoy the show and post a ton of photos ASAP, especially during move in.
