There is no doubt the original post of this thread was made, but did the person identify correctly that his 70 Plymouth motor was by Dick Harrell?
Established as a fact that Dick Harrell did go to Hemi power for a short period of time. Larry Christopherson would come into the picture as a “Crew Chief” for the Camaro. Larry being familiar with the Hemi was helping DH with the aspects in a new adventure of using the Hemi for powering his Funny Cars?
Back in time, match racing was going strong. Bookings were for those well known names that would draw more spectators? Many of the racers would thrive off the guaranteed money that was there when booked?
Though Harrell was knowledgeable in Chevrolet’s, it became apparent that Hemi power would have to be used to stay competitive? Question is, did DH build the Hemi engines for his cars or for the general public?
Pictured below is that of Larry Christopherson lined up with Dick Harrell using the Hemi power?
