I don’t know why it is, but certain years of certain models seem to each have their own iconic color.
55-57 Chevy - Turquoise. Early 409 SS - light blue 67 Z TahoeTurquiose 68 Z Corvette Bronze 69 Z Black 70 Z Citrus Green (even though I am not normally a green car fan). 69 Judge Dark green (again....) All very subjective, I know; but for me; 67 442 has gotta be Maroon. Good luck Bill. I would have a hard time parting with that car.

Wow Bill, your Olds is uber-cool!! I love it with either wheel/tire combo and it sits just right.
In the late summer of 1967, at the tender age of 17, I was shopping for my first car. I looked hard at a red '66 4 speed 442. Had I not stumbled onto my red Chevelle my life (car wise) may have taken a totally different path. GLWS!! |
