Funny; there are a lot of posts (some by very knowledgeable folks) stating that the marketing terms for Chevy engines back then was:
6 Cylinder = turbo thrift Small Block = turbo fire W engines = Turbo thrust Corvair flat six = Turbo air BBC = Turbo jet These posters seem to indicate that, at least for a time, the W engines were also "turbo fire" All just marketing names anyway, like the "fire ring" AC spark plugs.
