I believe all the 12 bolt axle housings, after ~Jan '67 received the bracket for the bar, but if the diff was open, it may not get the bar. My 02C 350 with PG and 3.31 open 12 bolt has the bracket and the plate inside on the floor pan, but clearly never had a bar or under floor mounting plate installed.
Would the Saginaw 4 speed with open diff, still trigger the bar ? I don't recall what I read about this on CRG...
