Shouldn't 350 manual trans be a smog pump motor. I get removing the pump, but those don't look like smog exhaust manifolds.

That would have been correct in 1969 and maybe 68...Chevy added the TCS system in 1970 and the smog pump was only on the solid lifter cars. Pretty sure CA delivered cars still had the pump on just about everything.

I sent my older brother a pic of this car car and he really likes it. Neither he nor I recall seeing a stick shift Monte Carlo back in our day. Great color combo.
