I did not know that. Was LS5 available in the Corvette in 1970?

Boy, do I feel like a dumbass.

Yes. That was the top Corvette engine option in 70. There were a slew of different versions of the 454 slated for 70 (as detailed in the AIM), but the LS5 was the only offered BBC.
