How many times did we both drive past that intersection on the way back and forth from WIU with no clue about what historical significance it had at the time?

And some of us still don't... Something about LaHarpe seems familiar, but that's all.

Go Necks!

Unfortunately when Dave and I were there in the late 80's and early 90's the only thing we knew about LaHarpe was the stop sign at Rte 9 that meant we were almost back to school.......

In keeping with the tradition of the Fred Gibb legacy, a complement is deserved for the dedication they have put forth into the Fred Gibb Chevrolet dealership of LaHarpe, IL. Both men were faithful in attending the Fred Gibb Memorial Shows held in prime time heat of August with their original ownership of popular sought after collector cars bought directly from the Gibb dealership.

Ken Barnhart & wife Jerri proudly were able to be displaying an orange 69 ZL-1.

Dennis Cumby likewise, would display a beautiful 70 LS-6 Chevelle.

Post # 21 of this thread notes both men are still active in the LaHarpe show. Herb Fox’s daughter has now stepped forth helping carry out the history of Fred Gibb.
