Inept seller may be an advantage if you can pick up the pieces and car itself all it sounds like it may be? If only an hour away, get your eyeballs on the scene also missing stuff may actually be there somewhere that appears w/ $ in front of them or can be confirmed w/ last owner etc? Best of luck whatever you do but I just can’t stop thinking if description true, the car may be something special also worth whatever foolishness necessary to make it happen?  ~ Pete .
