Wow if already a real BM 427 car w/ genuine paperwork, please share more! Cool what you're thinking and certainly worth digging into also great to hear it's got the VT. When did your BM427 car sell also where was the Original purchaser from as the Mag article indicates Green Meanie sold w/ SB to an out of State buyer? ![]() What of mods/parts originally added compared to your car now, any exact parts remaining and/or holes including 'Vette Sidepipe mountings also cowl mounted rev limiter as the one pic etc? Rear Spoiler likely Wing style but crazy there's no pics, what of any old mounting holes existing on yours? What rear axle is w/ yours also if original housing, are gears original too or what if not? Cool topic, keep digging and best of luck w/ your quest! ![]() ~ Pete .

I wish there was a better photo of the Green Meanie. It looks like it was a Fathom green Z/28 with black top, L88 hood, wing spoiler, Mustang mirrors, and 1969 Corvette side pipes?
I have not seen 69 Corvette side pipes on a 1969 Motion Camaro. Normally they used the C2 sidepipes so would be cool to see a photo of the complete car. At the time the article was done they said the car was sold before they could get better photos. |

My car has one of those long, odd Vietnam war stories. The original owner was in Vietnam and sent his mother the money to put a down payment on a new SS427 Motion Camaro. Something happened (injured in action) and he couldn't get back to the states by June to pick up the car. Finally arrived back a week before Christmas and went to New York to get his car. They sold his car thinking he was never coming back- just as happened to other guys back then.
Understandable all things considered. I was told there were only 2 cars that could be converted to 427 status, this green 4spd and one other /automatic. He chose the 4spd. Because it was a small block and he had to have a big block Motion changed it to be more like the car he wanted. Conversion took a couple of weeks, and he took delivery I think bill of sale says Jan. 13, 1970. (Will have to check, memory misses a gear every now and then). I had developed/still have health issues and the car has been sitting under the rear porch since the 70s. I have not looked at the car in probably 4or 5 years, just to notice that it is still there. Wish I never got sick.... |
