Jeff, I work at AAW. Those is an over the counter Delco wire set made in the 1st qtr of 2000. The orange boots are all later replacements, not Assembly correct. The originals were black. Some of the HD wire sets from back in the day had green boots. Hope this helps.

Apples and oranges but here is a photo of the original plug wires on my old 1973 SD455. Orange boots.

I had no idea a plug wire thread could be this interesting! Thank you for sharing this, I've never seen the orange boots on an original car. That's really cool.

This helps tremendously, thank you. I didn't realize over the counter Packard wires were still being date coded, or heck, even available into 2000. When I saw the 00 code, I thought maybe that was a generic year given to all over the counter replacements. I greatly appreciate your help, thank you!
