This Cranberry Red 70 Camaro SS L78 is equipped with a 4 speed and 3.55 gears. It was sold new at West Line Chevrolet in Boulder CO. This car was here several years ago prior to being restored. R. Leibert had it at the show. According to the owner those wheel covers were how the car was equipped when new. You could get either hub caps, wheel covers or Rallys on SS Camaros in '70.

Baby moon hub caps I thought would have been factory correct. Those wheel covers were base model caps? Can anyone confirm? I'm curious. thanks

Baby Moons would be if you didn't order wheel covers or Rallye Wheels. You had two different styles of wheel covers you could order:

RPO P01: Bright Metal Wheel Covers $26.35

RPO P02: Special Wheel Covers $79.00

Only the Z/28 came standard with something other than Hub Caps which were standard on all other models
