Anyone else notice the small block tach? Must have been a factory error. My 1970 L78 came the same way. I guess broadcast code 983 vs. 938 easy to confuse on a busy assembly line.

AC vent levers on the dash vents? I guess that happened sometimes, too.

Good eye GotGrunt and DougA

I asked the owner about the tachometer and he told me some fool sold the complete interior in 1979. He was lightening up the car with aluminum panels and was also tubbed for bigger tires.

I asked him who owned the car then and he told me that HE did!

Later on he reverted back so he could run Stock Eliminator. Took out the aluminum panels and the wheel tubs and put stock sheet-metal back in.
Also having to source a complete interior.
That is why it has a lower red line Tach.
