Brings back memories. My older brother's father in law sold him one of these Lexus'es because he didn't need it any more (extra car, high mileage). I think the price was just $500 - just so he could show something on paper because his business owned it. Anyway, one winter day, the car hits an ice patch and slides into a tree. Not a lot of major damage but the insurance company totalled it nonetheless. They paid out around $7,000 to my brother.
His father in law, who had a great sense of humor, comments to him afterwards: "If I had known it was worth that much, I would have driven it into a tree myself!" Last edited by njsteve; 06-02-2021 at 11:22 PM.
