Jim Minnick had a successful speed and machine shop in Nitro, WV for several years before transitioning to a diesel engine machine shop. He was NHRA World Top Gas champion in 1965 and was associated with Dick Moroso. He had a 1969 Camaro pro stock for a short while built from a copo car. He died some years ago when a vehicle he was working on fell on him.

427_RAT, was Jim Brown the salesman at McClinton that sold your car to Wade?
Greg, Sherman tells me that Jim Brown had a green COPO car he raced that was an automatic, maybe that’s the car you’ve heard about in the past. Richard

I have original M22 case with this car and Wade to verify it was original 4 speed. Was this car you are thinking about sold new with an automatic? |

Not sure if the automatic car was sold at McClinton. Does anyone know Jim Brown, my friend said he hadn’t heard from him in a long time.

Sorry I didn’t answer you correctly. I’ll ask my friend if it was originally an automatic car but I don’t think he’ll know the answer.
