They put something that looked like rope, maybe caulking, that I assume was supposed to lay along the outside corner of the wheel house. It is disgusting that with the technology we have there are still corrosion problems. I have had a new chevy diesel every year since 2010 and the first was 2008. I have had zero problems with all of them.

Yep, I know, they all rust away prematurely. I don't need a 2500 to get the diesel and I see Chev has just started putting a new inline 6 diesel in the 1500. Already reading about "glitches" with them, so I will wait a few years for the population testing ground to expose all the problems, and hope GM fixes them all.
