I believe the shade was called 'blue-grey-aqua multi-flek'.

The 1st shot is of a 70 Van Nuys Camaro. The 2nd is a 69. There's was very stringy compared to Norwood or even other Chevy plants.
Could it have been a lacquer vs enamel paint suspended in the latex base ? I never tried to reproduce that look, but sure a good painter could do it .
