Each state implemented the Federal Privacy Act of '96 in their own way, and thus each state has different rules / forms / results - some states have online VIN searches! So, since you have the VIN, I'd suggest requesting the title search info again unless its; NY, NJ, MI VA or CA - those states are near impossible! If its PA, MD, OH or NC then you are in luck (especially MD). If its GA or AL that's tough since they didn't even have titles till '86....
