In the FWIW file, I have a 69 Malibu that is loaded with options. The build sheet on the car specifies a GW (3952818) front spring for which I have seen that code on several 69 Chevelle BB cars, without AC. Many years ago, I got the spring wire size and rate charts and found the CS5390 was a good match for the GW spring. I installed them and they fit perfectly and gave me a good ride height. Rock Auto has them for $66. The CS6319 is also a great standard duty rear spring. They have those for $45.
If you look under the 5.7 liter 69 Chevelle in the Rock Auto website, you will see this spring application and associated part number (3952818) in the listing. Phil W. |

They offer a spring for both ac and no ac cars with varying heights or stock. They are $100 higher than the balance of the vendors?
