Take some pictures of the rough cast area and email them to me? [email protected] sometimes blowing them up on a computer screen it helps. It's going to start with a 10N if it's a Norwood Ohio L78 motor. Or 10L for A LA. Van Nuys L78 motor.

The engine is in my Chevelle. I have it stored for the winter. If I recall correctly it is a Norwood engine as I remember making out the N. But believe it or not I still have the handwritten receipt. Bought it from a Mr Jacobs on May 14, 1983 for $800.00. If I can get to the car I'll give the VIN another try.
