For future reference - I have used Tal Strip aircraft paint stripper to take clear coat (hard to remove) from Aluminum wheels, intakes and such, and it always worked great on very difficult paints and clears without any problems at all for me..
Better if the piece is slightly warm like having been laid out in the sunlight for a while prior - but works quite well and much better and faster than all others, regardless. I'm not sure about plastics - but I seem to recall getting it on some plastic wheel center caps without any problems - but that probably depends greatly on the type of plastic itself. Tried all kinds of other products but Tal Strip outworked them all for my purposes! Randy |
