I believe the color is 1968 Chevy Truck Orange
info from paint.com site....... "This orange automotive paint color is most commonly known as Omaha Orange. Other common color promotional names include Tangier Orange, Orange, and Fork Lift Orange. The color formulation has been used between 1930 and 1992, primarily by Chevrolet; but also by GM, GMC, Studebaker, Ford, Reo, Diamond T, Chrysler, Dr Pepper, Toyota, and HomeDepot. We have records of this color appearing on the following models: Chevy Truck, GMC, Studebaker Truck, Ford Special Order / Fleet, Chevrolet, Astro, Reo Truck, Blazer, Suburban, Chrysler Special Order / Fleet, Chevrolet Special Order / Fleet, and Diamond T Truck. I personally inspected the in question Grabiak 68 Z/28. There is no doubt in my mind the wheels were painted Omaha Orange from new. The original WTGT tires where stacked next to the car as well. I have also seen a special order Verdoro Green Z/28 with a white VT and the green matching rally wheels. Why GM did this I am not sure, but it was put into use on these two cars and others as well it would seem...BKH
