That's an excellent tidbit. Keinath has always been one of my Chevy heroes. I've always wondered how to correctly pronounce his last name.

nice article

There was (sort of) a third Mystery 427 Chevy engine.

In 1965 the 396 production block was cast with enough material to take the 427 bore size.

NASCAR allowed it to run in some of the 1965 full size cars (Impala Biscayne) even though the 427 was not a production engine until 1966
