I figured everybody knew the year was wrong in the original post because of a "fat finger". I actually like '68s myself, and gave the OP a free pass on the wrong year. Are rust-free 6cyl. stick cars now worth $20,000? 1968s?

I wouldn't hesitate to ask $20k for ANY 14k original mile mint 1st Gen Camaro, '68's included. All the $10k cars need $10k in metalwork anyway so I think any Pro Tourer, Hot Rodder, or purist would now write that check.

That is exactly what a friend wants me to do, is pass this car on to him and they would make it a custom frame hot rod. I can't believe I missed the wing windows (67). I know better. I was just glad I saved the pictures while my computer was in the middle of dying.

For grins, here is a '67' getting some 8 second numbers for the 1/8 mile.

Now could one expect the 1/4 mile numbers to be in the 13s? Not sure. I know he had a tach when he raced it, he said he drove it within an inch of blowing the engine using the tach to get those times he claimed. I can't remember what he changed on the motor when he raced it. He also has a pre 67 GTO he also drag raced, and has a collection of rare intake manifolds w/ carb setups.

When he was in vietnam, his mom bought this car, and when he got a chance to come home, he took the car to the track to race in the 6 cylinder class.
