I'm in the process of doing some brake work to the car. After rebuilding the front calipers, I am not impressed with the brake fluid pressure or volume at the calipers when bleeding. I took the car for a road test and again, I am not impressed.
So, is there a way to test/check the distribution block as well as the proportioning valve? I know replacements are available. I would just like to keep the original parts on it. Thanks! Tim ![]() ![]() Tim, What is the code on the tab of the M/C? Looks like the same for 67 Nova with factory Disc? Code "DA" Dave 67 Nova Boy |

Dave,
The stamping is really light. I would say the last letter is "T". The first, I cannot make it out. A "WT" master would have come on the car. Are the original stampings usually that light? The way the bore of the master was corroded and the patina of the exterior, a person may be willing to speculate it is original. I'm surprised the M/C kit worked Thanks, Tim |

The {AD 1" bore} is for manual disc which is the same as the 67 Nova with factory disc. They are all hard to find! Looks good to me on originality to the car Tim...great car!!!! While waiting to get a baseplate, I thought I would take the opportunity to start preserving the paint. Inspired by Darrel Cook, I clayed the car out, and started the #7 Meguiar's spa treatment.
BEFORE ![]() DURING ![]() ![]() AFTER ![]() The results are somewhat minimal. I certainly can see on the towels where the oxidation from the metallic was being picked up. I have chosen not to proceed with any machine polishing, opting for the natural look of the lacquer. I never would have thought I (or any of us) would spend so much time documenting how lousy the finish quality was on my pride and joy(s) Tim |

They did an awesome job on the original master cylinder and wheel cylinders in my survivior SD455. If you tell them in advance that it is a survivior car they will leave the outside finish intact. |
