Page 313 in the assembly manual shows a good picture. There are two different clips. The one you show is the small style clip that connects to the driver side lower tank bracket. On the pass.side, the clip is bigger, which connects to the tank bracket, wraps around and connects to the tank. That's about the best way i can describe it. If you don't have a 70 assembly manual, get one for $20.00.Hope this helps...
