Yeah, as period cool as they are , they're still deadly.
I have a group of local friends with Day 2 Cars.....
None of us would ever think about a colored fiberglass flex fan .....other than a wall hanger.

Your Buddie was one of Hundreds and hundreds that met the same kind of demise.....sorry to hear.

A Stainless steel or aluminum fan in great condition is the only safe Day 2 route.
