That's an old 2 stroke unit. That thing would run upside down but was sometimes hard to start in the cold. The pump would cause the motor to surge and nothing else sounded like it. The spreaders, "Jaws of Life", used with it weighed about 70 lbs and were used with and with out the chains to rip, gouge and tear. Other tools became available and it's amazing what's used now.
