Here's an example of the VIN stamping that was on the block in my 1970 Charger (the one that was 21 VINs higher than my car). The casting date was 5-26-69.

I would atleast try to call him and see what he could do to help. I think he does favor hemi cars over all else, maybe the response time would be good.

X2 - A few years ago, I called and asked if he could look at my '70 Hemi Challenger. I told him that I was willing to pay his fee. He said that he'd get back with me. Six months (at least) later I got the call back. Sorry, but I can't do business with people who demonstrate this level of poor customer service. Of course, he did take the time to record my VIN and #s for his data base!
