I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but I thought some might like to see these photos. I worked at Jack Douglass Chevrolet for 7 years and did find some memorabilia I saved. I saw a nice1969 yellow Yenko at MCACN that had a dealer sticker on the valve cover and told the owner’s friend that the sticker was wrong for a 1969 and I had the correct script sticker. I never did hook up with the owner and now I can't find it but it will show up.
The bow tie sticker below with Hinsdale on it we started using in the mid 70's I believe. The key fob I think is cool, the style looks older but we must have started with those after 1968. The misc stickers seem kind of an odd marketing idea that Chevrolet sent us. "Belt your wife & kids,” they wouldn't say that today. The last picture is my plate off my 1969 yellow Yenko that I sold in 1984. There have been a couple posts mentioning my car or possibly me so I thought I would reply. It was an original engine, trans, & diff car that had only the rear original Yenko emblem remaining on it. A local parts guy Barry Hampton & I had the emblems reproduced in Japan, I think. We ordered maybe 500 of them I have 3 left, wasn’t a great seller in early 80s. My car did not have hood stripe, side stripes, or headrest logos. I did put Yenko side stripes on it when I restored it. We also found the holes in the fenders for the front emblems below the centerline and put those emblems on. I don’t know if this was a Jack Douglass delivered car or not we just assumed it was. I will have to search a little harder for any pictures, slides and the currant owner any let you know what I find. Merry Christmas to all. George |

----Hey George,,,Welcome to the sight!
----For the rest of you guys, George and I worked together at Classic Motors as well. He has an extremely nice Shadow Gray LS5 Chevelle that was at MCACN in 2011 that took him a while to put together, but was well worth the wait. I hope he finds time to spend here as George is a wealth of great info, especially about Jack D. and hes just an all around good guy. ----Post some pics of your ride when you get a chance, George.......Bill S |

Hmmmmm......I bought many reproduction Chevrolet stickers/decals from a "Hamptons" back here during 1982-83,when I was restoring my 1972 SS Chevelle. He had a running classified ad in the back of the NCOA issues and had a small mail order store set up down the street here on the corner of Ogden & Fairview,in Downers Grove Il. |

----Barry was a good guy and sponsered Red Alert back in the 90s. I still have a box of decals that he gave me to sell at races and swap meets. Sadly, he has passed on. He moved to Michigan and I heard had retired to Arizona, but 50 odd years or more of full time smoking caught up with him. Another great guy that I miss.........Bill S
