I know the Elky well. It seems that every owner makes the car a bit better. It is certainly a real L78 with a Warranty Plate. Good to see it again.

Very cool car/truck, I had the pleasure of doing it over the summer. I pulled the engine on the Elky (had a leaking rear main seal) and did my best to make everything correct. We cleaned up the eng bay, repainted the eng and firewall. Found and installed date code correct exhaust manifolds, crank and H20 pulleys, restored water pump, complete smog system, dated 499 dist, rechromed valve covers, restored radiator cap, rebuilt the rear end (3:31 posi for driveablity). Also a Gardner exhaust, new gas tank and all new hoses, wiring, bat cables etc, etc. Parts sourced from Jerry M, 427 King, Bill Mock, Joe Perri. Randy the owner was a pleasure to work with and went all out to make it right. If anyone is considering buying it I will happy to give you my input.

I can tell it's the same car as we had in Austin by the power vent windows.
