I don't think they are claiming that the other 115 are lost or destroyed. I think they are claiming that this particular L88 has some other distinguishing option or feature that sets it apart from all of the other L88's produced in 1969.
I started a thread in the Mecum Auctions section about this car and someone posted a video when the car was at another auction. If I recall correctly, someone in the video; I think it was Kevin MacKay, states that the original owner for the car specified that the car be built without the HD brakes. This may have been the COPO part that is referenced when talking about this car. |
