Thru the yrs we have seen cars verified without actual work invoices or a personal inspection to back them up. A certification letter from Joel based on his memory might mean little to me but more to others. Regarding this particular car I have suggested that Dan compile notarized affidavits from those that claim to have done the work. These, with the 'maybe' letter from Joel, should do the trick because the car mods show evidence of it's provenance.

Dan may not be the easiest to get along with, but he has located many significant Supercars and spends a lot of time performing due diligence. The car needs to be personally inspected....something Joel could not perform (because of distance) otherwise, how could he have confirmed it with a 'yes letter'?

If I had any hint of being even Motion tuned, I would get it to see Joel. Even if he doesn't remember it still would be seen by Joel. An L-88 Motion??? nova, street raced in NY, in that time frame.......priceless!
