I don't believe the Trans Am cars were supposed to come with Hemi fenders, although some apparently did. I've looked at half a dozen original paint T/As and AARs over the years that didn't have rolled fenders.
I've seen a couple of Hemi Challengers without the rolled fenders, but never a HemiCuda. Chrysler, go figure. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img] |

My old Hemi Challenger originally had the rolled fender lips. When I restored the car and got NOS fenders from Chrysler, one side was available with the rolled lip and one was not. I had the body shop roll the other lip to match.
I seem to recall that the AAR 'Cudas and/or T/A Challengers had a fender tag that read "Trans Am Fender" [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/confused.gif[/img]

And I think it was rendered moot by the smaller front tire on the production cars. |
