The only Novas that have it on the gas tank are Van Nuys cars like the 72 one above. That was because full frame cars were also built there.

Willow Run did not place them on the gas tank. I posted a long write up on Nova Build sheets in an older thread which was recently revived here Nova Broadcast sheets
