I just don't see the story being true.

Don't think you could get a 3.61 gear in any Camaro from the factory in 1969.

That little 140 hp 6 wiht a 1 bbl carb shouldn't gain that much hp to run 13.89 with just a jet change.

A quick calculator reveals a 3000lb car with would need to be putting about 230hp AT THE WHEELS to run 13.89 @ 101 mph.

Only jet change I could see bringin your a minimum of 100hp are Nitrous jets. Don't think the original 140hp ratin was at the wheels either.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I find it interesting you beleive this story could have happended.
