Default Re: Dedicated Day 2 Thread

Those are some awesome rear tires on that Camaro! I like it! I can easily remember back in the Eighties and of just being in love with the whole "Pro Street" craze and seeing a big, steamroller set of Mickey Thompson 15"-16"-17" wide tires at places like the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals just made my day. Nowadays, I really CAN'T stand that look and I often think about how many neat, rare Musclecars would have been "tubbed out" if me and many others could have afforded to do that expensive type of chassis work back then! I've raced some pretty serious Drag Radial machines and have been involved with some 10.5 cars for a long time now and I just love the look and serious-ness of a mini-tubbed Drag car with 295 or 315 rear Drag Radials or a Mickey Thompson 10.5W. Ain't nuthin' tuffer-lookin' than a '67-'68 Camaro with a set of 10.5W X 31.00 Mickeys out back!
