I learned the hard way also. Threw out a 4 year old machine when estimate was more than a new one. I wound up buying a cheaper machine that works just as well and I won't care if it craps in three years.

Same here. We had to buy a new washer and dryer about a year ago. I bought the cheapest crap I find on sale, and if I get three years out of them, good enough.

Had the same problem 10 years ago. Went out and bought this for my wife. I was a little leary about not getting the warranty but it was made in America. Her hands do look a little rough for a 30 yr old but with money I saved I bought her a big bottle of hand creme. Still works like a charm. Just a thought Chris
