Jason, the first set of pictures is of a 1970 Chevelle and the entire rearend was painted as that was the way I found it. On the 68 Camaro that I am doing the rearend was originally painted just like the rear in the survivor photos and that is how it is restored.

Ok I got the housing all cleaned up, I will have some pictures tonight. It looks like the center section never had any paint on it and I found a little on the axle tubes. So I think I am going to detail it like the pictures Rick posted. So what color would the inspection cover be black?
