Default Re: HMM`s May 2011 Issue - LS6 vs Hemi

I enjoyed the article the other day when I read it. Its hard for me to not give a slight edge to a hemi vs an LS6. Even if they drive the same, the freight train sound and feel of that engine is unforgettable if you drive one. No doubt the chevelle is the better built car by far (full frame), it does have to cary that heavy frame around with it where ever it goes though. Black with red interior chevelle is such a cool color combo.
What blew my mind was the 4:10 with the auto on the cuda. Isn't that pretty low for an auto? Hemi engines back then used to suck the pan dry (from people I have talked to and raced hemi cars, you had to do things inside the block to get the oil to drain quickly back down to the pan or else..) if you kept the rpms pegged for a long time, so that rear gear ratio caught my eye.
Both cars looked great and were great to read about.
