The earlier of the designs had wings. It looks like a beveled edge on each end of the weight. This was the easiest stash to snap of photo of. You'll see a mix of the early and late design here. I'm a details freak and keep these in stock!

----Thanks Mark! I could have guessed that it would be someone as detail oriented as Pete. I used to see him all the time when he and I both lived in Chicago, but its increasingly rare these days. He was one of the "Outlaw Racers". Too bad as Pete is one of the good guys......Bill S
