Are you sure about this? My 66 SS396 Chevelle I bought new had it installed under the recall. I may still have the recall letter from Chevrolet or my dealer, don't remember who I got it from. I thought it was only for cars that had mechanical throttle linkage, and those with cables were not affected?. So a 1968-up Chevelle or El Camino wouldn't have this since they used a throttle cable.
