Default Re: Camaros @ carlisle no more!!

Mr Lance Miller comes on this thread with his company rheteric.

I've attended each Camaros at Carlisle since 2000. The ACA Camaros at Carlisle show WAS THE G.M. Nationals. ACES (Chevelles), NNN (Novas) did not support the G.M. show. I've been told that the G.M. Nationals was Carlisle's smallest show.
I believe there were 700 Camaros there in 2010 and 300 of all other G.M. nameplates.

From everything I've read and heard (from the American Camaro Assoc and Maryland C.C.) Carlisle Productions made in increasingly difficult to cooperate and negotiate issues with.

I've read that the ACA Camaro Nationals was the only "event" at CARLISLE not produced by Carlisle Productions. I can well imagine that a big time outfit like Carlisle was not going to be told much as to how, when, and what was going to happen within their infrastucture.

There is no question that losing the CARLISLE site is a big blow phychologically to the Camaro Nationals.
I can only hope and pray that the real Camaro enthusiasts give the new location and the MCC a chance to keep the only Camaro Nationals event alive.

I would have to think that Brian Henderson and his many loyal followers will continue producing the Solid Lifter showroom (or what they may call it from year to year). This is a huge loss to the participants/spectators of the Camaro Nationals. The Super Car Workshop easily does many of the best Camaro restorations in the world.

I am also curious as to why the SCW is no longer a sponsor here ?

Was the SCW a participant at the 2010 SCR ?

Sincerely, Chuck Sharin
