Default Re: E-Bay '69 Yenko Disguised As a Z-28 Clone!

The owner was a very nice guy, and I was really trying to help him - not buy a copo cheap. I told him that the speedo was from a very valuable car and he should call JM to have him look at it. There were some good signs of it being a copo, but the rear was wrong, radiator, heater box, etc. When I saw that the firewall wasn't pierced for the cowl hood wiring - it looked un-copo like. My bad (really bad)!

I think I would be looking for hidden vins if there was no firewall piercing.

Pretty sure this is the car I've been trying to find for years - dressed up like a red z?

Yep, just pulled my book - that's the car. I've done a bunch of searches, the last was in early '07 when the car was reportedly in Pine Grove, PA. I recall seeing it on my way to Klinger's junk yard back. My first search was back in '01, car was titled in Pine Grove even then. It was titled in Pottsville, PA before Pine Grove under a woman's name.

Hope it all checks out.
