Thanks Tommy. I lurk around over here but try to stay out of these guys way. My junk has no business here. Yes, this heap made it for the '08 Power Tour and it's going again this year. It's a BBC, Doug Nash 5spd and wears a Grump Lump hood scoop in the rain. The pic you posted was from four years ago, this is current. Great thread guys.

I posted these awhile back, but seeing some of the above cars reminded me of these old "Day 2" rides of my dad's. Sorry for the crummy photo quality.

'66 Elco, circa late 1968... repainted hugger orange, black vinyl top, Wide Tread GT tires.

His '68 Chevelle, bought it new and added an array of over the counter Day 2 parts of the day.

His 1968 327 4 speed International Blue Corvette circa '69/70. Fat Formula 1 SuperStockers, aluminum slots, flared fender bottoms, '69 sidepipes added. I remember this car being around when I was a little kid.

Dad's Lemans Blue '69 Nova SS, note the chrome slots and hand painted "NovaCane" vanity plate, and my mom in the foreground. (That's also her name painted in Old English lettering on the front of the '68 Chevelle above.) I believe this was from about 1970.

Same '69 Nova circa @1971/72, new hood, new paintjob, rally wheels, and now sporting sidepipes. I guess this would be "day 3") He bought this car new, and drove it 10 years, through 10 winters... repainted it at least 5 times, total color change each time. Traded it on a new 1980 pea green 4 door Dodge Omni!
