Its so rewarding knowing Favre is playing sooooooo much better than he has ever played for th Pack. Its kind of like taking a guys wooden leg and beating him with it. I pray the Packers make the playoffs so the Vikings can do em one more time!

IMO, I think that he has surrounded himself with a strong team. The O line is giving him time, the running game is very good, has some good receivers, and that defense is one of the best I think. Looks like he is really having fun this year.

Regardless of how this year turns out, it has already been a success. We finally have the answer to the question "what would this team be like if we only had a decent quarterback".
Favre is much better than "decent", but a decent quarterback was the missing link for this team. |

Living in Idaho all we have is the Boise State football team but hey it's awesome! The Vikings have been on TV almost every week as far as our local coverages go. I have been following them with my wife. Back in '91 while on business in S. Dakota I scored on 2 tickets to see game 7 of the World Series. Homer hankies and all! Never forget the game or the crowd. Twins won in extra innings.
Sure hope Brett can get them back to the big show this year! |

Simply - Packer management wanted to keep Favre but was basically told he would be the back-up for Rogers...and honestly I think he made the right move by going to another team...and the Vikings are a good fit for him...honestly if he was still the starting QB for the Packers he would probably be out with an injury...look at the Packers' offenseive line, every week the announcers make the comment on how player X on the defense is putting on a "sack clinic"...maybe the Packers management knew they would need a young quarterback who could take some hits while they rebuilt their front 5. I work with the guy that bought his last house in Green Bay so he got some of the info from behind the scenes. Oddly enough he found a can of paint in the basement of the house that was labeled "Potentially Purple" so of course that was big news when he signed with the Vikings...must have been a slow news day...
