Chris, owner #4, said he PURCHASED this car from Best of Show about 6 months ago. Then he TRADED it back in on a 1970 Green Stage 1 4 speed car about a month and a half ago.

Chris said he was going to call Joseph Carroll of Best of Show (Which I verified he did)and tell him he has had 2 people (Me and a guy from Texas)call him about this car. He told us both the ownership history as he knew it, and that he (Mr. Carroll) might want to re-write his “Story”

As told to me: Kevin Joyce, Buick dealer / owner sold car in 1979, (Mr Emmott maybe?) but he did not give the new owner the original paper work, protect-o-plate, ect. The car was then sold sometime later to a guy in Ct.? Mr Joyce then bought the car, re-united the car and paper work, then had it for a while before listing? consigning? or selling? to Best of Show before Chris purchased it THIS YEAR!

Having been the past owner of 1 of the 3 Founding Bloomington Gold Survivor / Benchmark Corvettes, #100 1953 Corvette, and a 1969 L-89 Corvette the NCRS used in the 1980’s for judging criteria, I have always appreciated an un-restored Original car. I believe a good part of the Survivor value is in the “Story / Ownership history” It is a shame the “Story” on this beautiful 1972 GS Stage 1 is a bit fuzzy or at least cloudy.
