The vin tags are painted separately and do not typically match the dash paint, sometimes they are black, sometimes color painted.

Hey Mark, this makes sense as to why the VIN plates I've seen interior color have no paint on the rivets.

I wonder if this is a LOS or NOR difference. The 3 originals I've seen non-black were all LOS cars.
