The 198s only have the last 2 numbers hand stamped. The other intake with this commomly done is the 093 intake. In this intake the 5069 is ground off and 6093 is stamped in its place. I have a 198 intake on Ebay now that has a hand stamped 98. Many of the early to mid 68 cast 198 intakes had the 98 hand stamped, but not all.

Thanks, Jason for the correction. I knew some digits were stamped. Obviously, I couldn't remember how many.
